Your privacy matters to us. This page explains what information Gempixel collects, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We've tried to keep it simple and honest.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you register, we ask for details like your name, email address and password. If you buy a paid plan, our payment provider collects your billing details. We don't store full card numbers on our own servers. If you write to us, we keep your message so we can reply.

Information collected automatically. When someone clicks a short link or visits our site, we may record technical details such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, approximate location (country or city) and the time of the visit. This is what powers the statistics shown in your dashboard.

Content you create. This includes the links you shorten, QR codes you generate and any text or images on your bio pages.

2. How we use your information

• To run the service, including creating your account, redirecting links and generating QR codes.
• To show you link statistics and analytics.
• To process payments and send receipts.
• To reply to your messages and give support.
• To send important notices about your account or changes to the service.
• To detect and block spam, fraud, malware and other abuse.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.

We don't sell your personal information to anyone.

3. Cookies

We use cookies, which are small files stored on your device, to keep you logged in, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

4. Who we share information with

We only share information when it's necessary, for example with:

• Payment processors, so you can pay for a plan.
• Hosting and email providers who help us run the site.
• Authorities, if we're legally required to or need to protect our users and the service.

These providers only receive what they need to do their job.

5. Link statistics

If you use a Gempixel short link, the owner of that link can see basic click statistics such as country, device and referrer. They can't see anything that personally identifies you, like your name or email address.

6. How long we keep data

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. Click statistics and logs are kept for as long as they're useful for the service or as the law requires. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we have to keep some of it for legal or security reasons.

7. Security

We take sensible steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections and password hashing. No website can be completely secure though, so we can't guarantee absolute safety. Please choose a strong password and keep it private.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. To make a request, get in touch through our contact page and we'll respond as soon as we can.

9. Children

Gempixel is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us their details, please let us know and we'll delete them.

10. Links to other websites

Short links created on Gempixel can point to any website on the internet. We don't control those websites and aren't responsible for their privacy practices, so take a look at their policies when you visit them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top will always show when it was last changed.
